After checked in at the hostel at 5pm. I attempted to make my time worthwhile before I had to hit on Washington the next day. It was less than half a day spent in NYC. So I went on the subway, got off at Christopher St, just for the lip-smacking burger at Shake Shack. I was in the queue for more than 1hour. I was told it would be the same situation despite the weather and timing, imagine the tastiness. You don't want to leave NY without eating it.

Daylight in the queue, 6ishpm.

Sky turned dark when I sat down eating my food.

It was more than ready to explore the city after I stuffed myself with delicious meal. I sauntered along times square. New York times square thrills me with its spectacular illumination. Due to insufficient time, I didn't manage to run after other attractions. Plainly walking on the street, feeling the horde of people, sound of music lost in the hubbub, tremendous gleaming LCD screen parallel between the right and left of the street, had totally drenched me in amazement.

Its easier to say than to do but why too often do we live life to please the others and subconsciously losing our own individuality? I wonder if its the ego, pride that we pursue or low-self esteem that we can't get over, which make us want to change ourselves so we could blend better into the society, community or congregation? Some people believe the society should be inspired to be more like them whilst some may dwell on their past to indulge in self-pity. I believed every person is a distinctive masterpiece of God, we are meant for great wills. Let bygones be bygones, we ought to know that we are not defined by criticism, past, mistakes circumstances, even gloriousness. Humanity is not perfect in any way. The perfection of imperfection in us simply reflects the uniqueness just as the way we are meant to be, there is no need to try so hard and fake out the character we dont own. Nobody efforts to play another person's role as well as oneself would do. Be a person who God wants you to be. I'm still learning to dance as if no one's watching and sing as if no one's listening. I live my life like nobody but myself. All in all, without Christ, I am nothing.

WRAP UP WARM!!!

Before you could even feel the wind, you would see many people on the street with messy hair blown by strong wind. Umbrella is not at all useful on rainy day coz it just end up inside out. Your hair might tangle up by the end of the day, so girls, bring your combs if thats helpful ;p

Your hair could be like this.

Blackpool is a town situated along the seaside of North West England. Its one and a half hour away from Manchester on the train. Blackpool is still heavily dependent on tourism since more than a hundred year ago. However, the population growth has levelled off for some reason. I've been to Blackpool 5 times myself so i think its probably a bit sick to go again. I went the first time with my friends, twice with my family and twice for uni project[site visit].

Summer is definitely the best time to enjoy the sun, clear sky, seashore and beauty of the town. Make sure you pick the right day though, otherwise you'd be drenched in the rain. You won't want to go during the end of the season. The local people leave for travelling and many shops are shut til Easter from 5th November. The town would be literally dead for nearly half a year, hence the name. This is interesting coz it happens only in Blackpool as I was told.

Everytime I go, I come across new things, which it good despite how many times I've been.

Been for 5times and took over 300pics.

There are a few interesting landmarks in blackpool which I thought it was worth visiting:

Thank God that I'm very well-taken care of by the lovely people and friends around me. Everything has been coming along alright so far. Manchester is just nice for me despite of the gloomy weather throughout the year. I've been picking up students various kinds of accent in the city. And its the variety that makes my interests for English boost further.

UK-United Kingdom!!! Just seemed how impossible I am to be here right now. Remember the song 'London Bridge Is Falling Down", which I came across at the age of 3, when I didn't even know what was actually sang out of my lips. Well, my point is, London used to appear to be a long way off from me, a beautiful spot in the world which I couldn't reach. I didn't think I would actually be in UK someday, yet indeed God's grace has brought me through my dreams. Being far away from home, its no doubt that I'm missing home lotsss, and still I truly do...

奖金7亿 多......他开心的哈哈大笑时，却被迎面而来的车给撞上了，结果，挂了。

I'm undertaking BA[Hons] Interior Design in Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. I'm currently on 2nd year by the way. This task is called Re-Reading: The Movie, and it was part of the assignments of year 1, which was given on April'10. Its been a while now. Just thinking of sharing it on my blog. Obviously, it says on the project brief [pic above] clearly what had to be done. The building that I looked into was Manchester Art Gallery.

"Formerly known as the City Art Gallery, the Manchester Art Gallery houses what is claimed to be one of Britain's best art collections and has recently undergone a £35m makeover. This is the largest of Manchester;s Art galleries, and houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures,
and ceramics, with paintings by Turner, Stubbs and Gainsborough. The collection includes over 2,000 oil paintings, 2,000 watercolors, 250 sculptures and over 10,000prints."

It took me roughly a day to analyze [including capturing vids and pics] the building. The vid that i made for this project took me about 7hrs to complete. The main reason was: I had never had experience making video before. I thought it was a good try though :)

Same Boring Background Yet...

We all know webcam, aka web camera is widely known and makes life much easier nowadays.
Taking pics without a camera is absolutely fine coz webcam has play the role.

These pics were all taken in MY room which I used to live for 1st year in Manchester:) Its called Cambridge Hall. I was in a flat of 5 study bedrooms, shared kitchen and toilet. Every individual's room is private, thats what i like best about it, coz I'm a safety freak...haha.

Most of the uni halls, are limited for the new badge students to stay only for a year. Once the contract has end, we will have to move out from halls to a new private rent accommodation. Hence, I'm now staying at a new apartment; with 2 large double bedrooms, toilets, a living room, laundry room and a kitchen. Its definitely more spacious for me to do uni work:)

We never get a second chance to make a first impression. In order to not let the readers get the wrong impression, not to promote him but I'm trying to give proper facts about Malcolm Wee Swee Khim, whom is also known as my "Bro!", colm colm, mal, ah khim ;p

Apart from the many other amazing friends, malcolm is one of the supportive friends of mine. He cares and show concern, gives encouragement and advises at times in spite of how his mood swings. Well, there is lots more interesting bits to talk about.

Friendship isn't a big thing, it's a million little things.
He'd never forget reminding me these:

First Surprise of The DAY

Woke up from bed in the morning with a smile on my face knowing that its another new day.
And its my also my 20th birthday :D

And what is that to do with this pictures?

To be honest, I wouldn't think the people in the pic would do this for me. Its not that they are not nice people, obviously they are. Its just that I have never expected this somehow. You might think its not a big deal by uploading just a simple pic as a birthday gift, but little things make big differences. You wouldn't know how much you would impact a person's life by just doing something which people would think its not necessary, or couldn't be bothered with.

I was completely astonished when I logged onto facebook and saw hundreds of greetings and particularly this pic, which was tagged by WeiNi [1st from right] on 2nd Nov, in the morning, uk time. Looking at the picture, it warm instantly right from the bottom of my heart. This pic speaks it all. I appreciate the love, care and effort, most importantly, thank God for HE has brought us together.

Every birthday marks the grace of God, it reminds us how much he loves, bless and strengthen us. Once again it brings to mind that God has been holding our hands all along the way since the day we were born.

I'm really feeling sooo FAT lately. Have been eating much despite the timing. Not to say calories, I cant be arsed. Food fascinates me =) thats the fact. I can eat and eat a lot. Not picky on food...thats definitely the reason for gaining weight. Looking in the mirror in any clothes would always urge me to lose weight. However, when the food is served I'd tend to forget everything... Apparently, food in Manchester are nice and tempting. I've been learning to cook so there's not reason to not eat =p

But there are times when I don't eat properly. It happens when uni work bombard me with loads of submissions due. I don't see myself lose weight though... There're quite a few pants which I found I cant fit into no more. Can I work it out to fix it anytime soon?lol

My dream phone! Should I say? haha...

I just love the way it is: the appearance, transparent keypad, cool features! I intended to get it when I first saw it. I talked to my parents about it and they actually agreed to let me buy it. At the same time, there were promotions on for some other mobile phones, which come with free PsP, Laptop, Wii or PlayStation3. It only comes with some specific phones that listed. Apparently, LG-GD900-Crystal didn't come with it, as its quite a latest phone. I couldn't be bother though, coz I didn't think I need any of the free gifts.

I thought of getting it during the weekend. So I informed my mom about it before I get it, and I also mentioned about the promotion that was going on. My mom was so please as Joel, my youngest brother, wanted a PS3 so much -.-"

What should I do? Hmm~ Should I go for my mine? Or should I change my mind?

Okie, so I thought, to have a look of the promotion phones see if I like any of them. Unfortunately, it took me a hard time to find one which I really like. My parents didn't say anything about it though. They would allow me to go for my choice if I would wanna get the LG-GD900-Crystal. Decision was on me.

I know Joel would definitely boost up in the air if I got him a PS3. After thinking it for a while, I went back to the shop, chose Nokia XpressMusic 5530 instead, which came with the PS3^^

I'm happy to see him happy. That is the greatest satisfaction =)

Beautiful Winter Wonderland

Fifi was the tour guard for today as Kimmy was out meeting her friends. Winter Wonderland was beautiful. We had a great time eating the foreign food, watching children happily sitting on the santa's lap asking for presents...etc...

Christmas Craze

The traffic jammed all day and night. The tube was loaded. People rustle in and out from shops. Pedestrians carried bags and packs with smile. Shopping for Christmas Day before the day Christmas's Eve was the latest craze for many people. Fifi & Kimmy , Joy & I were also excited about the Xmas Day, we went shopping for food... I knew it was going to be a great day as Fifi and Kimmy were going to make us a traditional Xmas day ^^

No omission was my concern. I took out all I wanted to bring along and then decide what was necessary. Gurls tend to be complicated in dressing, is that true? I do sometimes spend more than the time I expected to choose an outfit, not all the time. As long as I am fitted comfortable and look okie, that will be fine.

Anyway, I took hours to pack a luggage.

Feel so good to see my room in this condition. Clean and tidy...

Autumn term has come to an end. We have three weeks off before spring term starts for uni. Few days back, pepole have been packing stuffs, dragging their lauggages on the street, one after one they went. Many home students had gone back home, happy for them~Indeed home is always the most secure and best place to be. ~Home~ reminds me this:

Home is where your memories are,
its where your secrets are kept.

Home is where you're happiest,

yet home is where you've wept.

Home is where your parents live,

it's where you're raised.

Home is where you've been scolded most,

yet home is where you're praised.

Home is where you make it,

it's when you believe the myth.

That home is when you're happy,

just to love the ones you're with.

Wherever I go, these words serve me when I miss HOME^^

Three weeks holidays ~I'm going to make mine to the fullest. Of course, home is the best but I'd prefer to back for longer period during summer holidays. First week, Joy-my sister and I will be in London to meet two of our aussie cousins over Christmas. We are excited about it, really...And for the following weeks, still not sure yet how would it be.

Basically, I'll need to finish up some left out course work, doesn't look much but its actually quite a lot to do. I might as well do more reading for the course, hopefully I do~

Hmm~ have a week of break then I'll think about it again.

Weary brain, weary eyes, physically and mentally tired for the busy week. [But at least, thank God I have a helpful lecturer to lend me a hand anytime.] Anyway, I need a rest and should be sleeping now, waking for shopping tommorow. Goodnight =)

We Only Part To Meet Again

A farewell party was organized last night for my two flat mates [Teresa & Joanne] whom are flying back to Hong Kong soon. We got some other Malaysian from the other flats to join as well. The larger group we are, the more fun we have. I decided not to let both the Hong Kongese cook. Let us cook them nice food. I found that it is not an easy task to do so. I started cooking from 6-8pm, I was exhausted after cooking as it was a long day for me in the uni. It was a good night though.

Food was not all. Of course we never forget about photoshoting session. haha!

When tha party was half way on,

I distributed christmas cards that I prepared for everyone.

I dropped words from the bottom of my heart in it.

So, all cards they had have different contents.

Most if them opened right after they received.

I happy to see them reading the card with smiling faces.

Teresa opened hers too, she read it.

She couldn't held it, she burst out,

made me couldn't held my tears too.

After a while, she was alright. I'm sure i'll miss them much, will miss Teresa jumping unto my back whenever she hugs me, and also Joanna's 'trumpet' voice. I will miss seeing them around, eating with them, chit chatting in the room, having fun together, do homework together ,etc... We enjoyed being together and I believe this will not be the last time we see each other. These gurls will bever be fogotten, they are lovely people that left beautiful footprints in my life.

Tune Out In Class

Today's lecture was the last one for the term, all I wanted was to attend and get all work submitted. How I wish I were in Harbour Island, had a quite laze in the hammock after submission. whoo~ Unfortunately, imagination doesn't come true.

Well, let's face the realistic then. I struggled to get up from bed, then got myself prepared and head to the uni. The class was quiet when i opened the door as the lecture was already on.

My bad, I was late for 10minutes. I grabbed myself a chair and sat on the last row.

Not many mates turn up though. As i know, some had dropped the course;

some went back hometown;

and some would prefer to tuck in their bed instead,

to not get into the rain in this early morning i guess.

When the lecture was on, everyone was concentrating whilst there were few were whispering, sitting impatiently, laze indolently unto the chair. Meanwhile, I noticed her. A course mate of mine, whom is about my mom's age, married and has children. Friendly is a word that i can use on her, indeed she smiles and talks to me whenever we meet. She was at the corner of the third row today, which is just three rows before mine. She was in pink top. Such a soothing colour which translates relaxation and ease of mind. However, she was frowning, with her fist on her cheek, crossed legs, staring at the chair in front of her, looking restless, wasn' t very much focus on the lecture. Seems she got stressed up with something. She grabbed my attention. I started wondering and curious about what is circling in her mind.

My thoughts were : Is she encountering problems of

[1] Family? - as a housewife

[2] 5 children - as a mom

[3] Uni's work? / Submission dues? - as a student

[4] Manage both equally? - at once

[5] Physically exhausted? - for all

I have no clue about it. Well, it might not be what i thought or she wasn't at all thinking anything. It's all out of my curiosity. If she did, I feel sorry and hope everything turns right for her ^^

Apple Store In Paris

Located in the Carrousel du Louvre, Apple’s first store in Paris was inaugurated after much anticipation. Mac enthusiasts waited days in advance to get a glimpse of their favorite brand opening close to them. Blame it on the products inside or the chic interiors, the buzz this store generated surpassed other store openings from around the world. Much like its products, Apple’s exquisite design taste shows through in its stores too.

The photographer, Roy Zipstein who has been with Apple for the last five years, photographed Apple stores from around the world. If the country has anything to do with this, we don’t know, but he says his most memorable Apple store shoot till date has been in Paris. Awesome!

I'm Finally In! ^^

Finally...I'm in! I intended to start a blog but somehow didn't get it done until now.

Some people are please with this I'm sure as I was persuaded ceaselessly to create an account to write mine. Hopefully I really do make this a point to not update it only once a year...haha!

Its my interests to read the others' blog. And now is my turn to present my own =) What a fresher!

By the way, I'm Jane, a common name but I'm definitely unique in my way, you'll find out! =D

HopeInHIm is the nick that i always put with my name in order to remind myself that I always have hope in HIM, my God. No doubt, I'm a christian ^^

And why "Just As Nothing Else"? Was thinking of phrases or words that related to me but had no idea. Somehow a thought just struck off to have J.A.N.E, hence "Just As Nothing Else", might not make sense though :p
